Northwest Quilting Expo

Northwest Quilting Expo

Friday, Sep 27, 2019 from 9:30am to 5:00pm

Portland’s original sewing and quilting festival! We're getting ready to bring you our best show ever! As always, our goal is to provide you with creative inspiration and all the tools and classes to expand your quilting skills.

We’ll have hundreds of juried quilts to see, and over $18,000 in prizes to award. We’ve tweaked the categories this year - you’ll find them on the quilt entry page. We’d love to see your quilt in our show!

At the show you’ll be able to wander through several special quilt exhibits. They’re always inspiring; it’s wonderful to follow the creative paths of some of the major artists in our quilting community. We'll even have exhibits of your UFOs and Row by Row quilts. Here's an entry form with more information.

Take a class or two from our talented instructors: Beth Helfter, Melody Crust, Sheila Sinclair Snyder, Ellie Lum, Helene Knott, Melanie Sadler and Cathi Jolley. They are teaching a wide variety of classes.

Make & Take classes and Creative Handwork classes were missed by many last year and we listened—they are back! The NW Quilting Expo notions booth will be here too, bringing you the best and newest must-have tools for sewing and quilting. And of course, plan to attend a free notion lecture - it’s always a great chance to sit and learn about tools that will make your creative life easier.

It’s fun to find new resources to share with you. Along with many longtime vendors, over twenty new vendors are joining us this year. They’ll bring the latest in fabrics, fibers, tools and more!
