The Stir Up The Gift Enterprise Center and the FW Coleman Theatre Club are teaming up to present one-day Audience Participatory Camps and Theatre Workshops for seniors at each adult day center or each nursing home that is interested.

Workshop sessions will focus on interested adults, but also are available for after-school and kindergartener classes. We still believe in helping families, but mostly helping older adults to remain healthy mentally as well as physically. Our topics and participatory theatre will highlight the four components of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

If you can sponsor a session and provide all materials needed, please call 901-497-3750.  Leave a message. Email responses to Tell what day and time you would like Stir Up The Gift Enterprise and the FW Coleman Theatre available. Don’t forget to leave a call-back number.

For adults in the Memphis area entering their senior years, we have our once per week (Saturday) rehearsals in the Pinnacle Point Subdivision.  Rehearsals will highlight traveling performances within the Tri-State area. Rehearsals are Saturday mornings 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon. Call for membership requirements; 901-497-3750.

Available also is our outdoor theatre day center facilities, focused on socialization, exercise, community outings, and senior volunteer opportunities, giving seniors somewhere to go during the day, so they remain in touch with other adults their age. The rural-area center is available on Thursdays.

Why the rural area? Even though Amazon is taking residence in the rural area, the cultural heritage is still bare, and storytelling has fallen by the wayside. Thus we are “SUITED-UP To Change The Land” and thus present the Stir Up The Gift Enterprise Center.

For all ages we have the Performers All-Call. The FW Coleman Theatre production title is “2000 Years” from one of the Easter plays by Mrs. Gertrude Richmond Anderson (Byhalia, MS) and music by Minister William “Billy” Neal III (St. Louis, MO).  Needed are steppers, dancers, and script performers. Performance dates are June 30, 2019 – July 20, 2019.
