No matter what media in art you do, the skills learned in drawing are essential in all media and should be a lifelong practice. Learning to draw the subtleties of the human being enables the artist to improve their drawing skills for other subjects.

Line, value, shading, proportion, and perspective are practiced in the study of the portrait. Starting with the head full on, profile and the ¾" view, practice will also include details of the face and hair. With over forty years of experience in art, I will guide you step by step.

From concept, to implementation, to finish… can only happen when you begin.
