Celebrate the sea and learn how to prepare for coastal emergencies. Live Music, Pirates, Mermaids and More!

Schedule of Events:

1:00 - 4:00 pm: Marine Science

Gain an appreciation for our marine life and environment in a fun open-classroom setting by the sea. This award-winning program will explore sharks, sunfish, and sea turtles through interactive hands-on activities. Also, find out what’s inside the Mystery Box.

1:00 - 5:00 pm: Pirates on the Plaza

Captain Jack and his crew will descend upon the Bandstand Plaza and lure you into the Age of Piracy when the seas were full of adventure and rules were more like guidelines. See live sword demonstrations and learn about the ways of pirate life in exciting swashbuckling shows throughout the day.

1:00 - 5:00 pm: Live Mermaid Tank

See a live mermaid perform various underwater tricks such as bubble rings, heart kisses, and bubble columns.

2:00 - 4:00 pm: Glam Shell Photos and Story Times

Gather around the glam shell for photos and story times: Mermaid Tasha's Mission and Glitter is Not the Winner.

5:30 - 7:00 pm: First Responder Meet and Greet

Meet and greet our Town lifeguards, police, and fire personnel to learn how to prepare for a potential coastal emergency. See the Sussex County Command Post and water rescue vehicles up close.

7:30 pm: U.S. Navy Country Current

The United States Navy Band Country Current is the Navy's premier country-bluegrass ensemble. The group is nationally renowned for its versatility and "eye-popping" musicianship, performing a blend of modern country music and cutting-edge bluegrass.
