The Prediabetes 101 Class is a free, two-hour, group session designed to help patients that have prediabetes begin engaging in diabetes prevention and reduce their risk of getting type 2 diabetes.

Each class is taught by a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator, or a certified health education specialist and will focus on the following:

- What is prediabetes?
- What is your risk of developing type 2 diabetes?
- What can you do to prevent type 2 diabetes?
- What changes are you ready to make to prevent type 2 diabetes?

Class Types:

Virtual - class participants meet online using a virtual platform (Teams). You will need access to a device with a webcam in order to participate in this class. Prior to the class you will be emailed instructions on how to access and participate in the online class and how to obtain class materials and resources. This is a group class. These classes are live and will not be recorded.

In-person - classes are held at various Intermountain Healthcare locations statewide. This is a group class.

Due to COVID-19, all in-person class participants are to follow social distancing guidelines and are required to wear a mask throughout the entire presentation.
