Didier Farms Pumpkinfest: Sept 21-Oct 31, 2019. Make memories with your family at Didier Farms. Pumpkins, Hayrides, Corn Maze, Pony Rides, Animal Land and Pig Races. Kiddie Rides, Pumpkin Playland, and Parakeet Encounter. School groups and Birthday parties by reservation only.
(Weekends Only)-Silly String Asylum and Sunshine Crafts. Visit the Farmstand for Homemade Apple Cider and Pumpkin Donuts, fresh baked pies, apple cider, home made fudge, gourmet caramel apples, winter squash, fall decorations and mums.

Pumpkinfest Activities

SILLY STRING ASYLUM –

A room where you will be playing against each other with a can of silly string.  Very similar to paint ball experience.

5 TICKETS   – all ages          

WEEKENDS  ONLY

PIG RACES:  PIG RACES:  SAT, SUN, & COLUMBUS DAY. races are 12:30 , 2:30 and 4:30.   MON.,TUES, WED, THUR, & FRI – 11:00

Harvest season is one of the most beautiful times in Northern Illinois and a time to rejoice in the harvest and to celebrate one of everyone’s favorite holidays-Halloween!

There is no admission fee, and all activities and rides are individual tickets only.
Most rides and activities are 3 tickets, EXCEPT our hayride and cornmaze (package deal only) $5, the Pony (5),Animal Land Zoo with Pig Races* (5), and Sunshine Crafts (6-18), Pumpkin Playland (4)

Concessions and Bake Shop

We have many dining options for you here at Didier Farms.

We have tasty treats from homemade corn dogs to Johnsonville Brats cooked on the grill.

Stop into any of these locations for something your tummy will thank you for:    grilled hot dogs, hot spiced apple cider, and our homemade apple cider cinnamon and glazed pumpkin donuts, made daily.
The Pumpkin Patch Cafe:  Menu options include Wapagettis Pizza, grilled hot dogs, cheesy nachos, hot spiced apple cider and our homemade apple cider cinnamon and glazed pumpkin donuts made daily here at the farm.

The Pavillion:  Try our delicious chicken tenders or the little ones might love the mac & cheese bites.

The Candy Corn Crib–  You have found the best homemade corn dogs in Lake County!  Add a homemade lemon shake up and you have a delicious lunch!

Grandma D’s Bake Shop–  Discover the following  fall culinary treats at the Bake Shop;  Old fashioned home-made taffy apples, our apple cider cinnamon and glazed pumpkin donuts, individual sized pieces of high top apple and pumpkin pie slathered with whipped cream.

The Corn Tent–  Grilled Johnsonville Brats, Dorflers Meat’s delicious grilled hamburgers, and Didier Farms famous Sweet Corn harvested daily and cooked on our very own corn roaster to perfection.

Kids’ Activities

The tractor drawn hayride travels down the dirt farm roads through the corn fields where the friendly    scarecrows stand guard over the rows and rows of mile high cornstalks.

Get lost in our Corn Maze with all of its twists and turns, and even dead ends!!
Catch a ride on the Big trucks or the Corn Train , Dragon Wagon, Mini Himalaya, Pumpkins & Bears, Umbrella Ride(cars & Motorcycles), Skyfighter, or one of the other favorite kiddie rides.  Pick from the Burlap Bag Slide, Windjammer ,and  Zunur.   All rides run on Weekends (weather permitting) Limited Ride Weekdays (Weather Permitting)
One of the favorite kids activities is the Pony Rides.  Take a ride on one of our family favorites.
Visit the Animal Land Zoo!
Take a ride on Camel with Mom or Dad!
We have a Pumpkin Playland with all sorts of activities for kids to be adventurous.  Parents are free with paid child.
Also the Gem Mining Activity- pan through your bag of soil and see what you can find!
You may want to feed some birds in our Parakeet Encounter, where birds will flock down to you to be fed.
It is all a new adventure for you to discover during our Pumpkinfest!

Pumpkins

We are well know for growing some of the most amazing pumpkins anywhere.  We have a huge selection of unusual pumpkins and gourds in an array of sizes and colors.  White, green, speckles and orange are all waiting to be made into your favorite Jack-O-Lanterns!  Gourds come in all colors, shapes and sizes also.

All pumpkins are sold by the pound.

School Groups

September 23 – October 31, 2019
Monday — Friday ONLY (not Columbus Day, October 14)
Pre – School — Grade 5 (minimum 12 children)

Welcome to the Farm!  We offer school groups/scout troops a great package deal but you do need to reserve your date so we know you are coming!

We do not limit groups that come to the farm. SO ALL DAYS ARE OPENED!

No need to call to see if days are open!! We will send back a confirmation after you send in your reservations!

Thursday and Fridays are more crowded towards the end of October.  But we can accommodate any size crowds!

Please keep in mind on MONDAYS- FRIDAY  We will run Pig Races 11:00  for our school groups!!!

We close for the season on Oct. 31st at 4:00.

For $9.00 per child– Each child will get to ride on the Tractor pulled Hayride out into the fields. Then take a walk into our Corn Maze.  We also have PUMPKIN PLAYLAND– with TRICYCLE play area, climbing Big Bale Mountain, racing down the stretch in the Rat Racers, Corn Hole, Washer Toss, and straw maze.  PLUS visit the Animal Land Zoo and see animals from around the world from goats and sheep to antelope, camels and kangaroos!  When leaving, each child can choose their  small pumpkin as a souvenir from their trip at the farm!  All above is included with the $9.00 fee.

All teachers/adult chaperones-$6.00 each**

For $14.00 per child– Each child will receive a wristband that will allow them to include everything above PLUS ALL MECHANICAL RIDES,  Inflatable Bouncer and a pony ride.

Birthday Parties

Birthday Parties at Didier Farms

Birthday parties are available during Didier Farms’ Pumpkinfest only – end of September to Halloween. Birthday Parties are offered weekdays and weekends with four heated birthday rooms available.

Reservations begin on August 1st at 9:00 am. In Person or Call.  Contact by phone at 224-543-9003. All Reservations will be taken Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Reservations will not be taken before the first of August.  If possible, have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices on times and dates for the birthday party. There is a non-refundable room fee that holds your room.

Room fees must be received after making your reservation or your date will be canceled.

A room will be reserved for 2 hour slots.

10:00 am – 12:00 am
10:30 am – 12:30 pm
12:30 am – 2:30 pm
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm

You may arrive 15 minutes prior to your party to set up and you must vacate the room by the end of your 2 hours. There is a PARTY ZONE PARKING for one car per party, on the East side of the Barn. 2 HOUR PARKING ONLY.

Weekday Price per child differs from Saturday, Sunday, & Columbus Day.

Minimum 12 children. Maximum of 25 children and only 40 people per room. Only one adult per child included in price.

All children must be paid for and included in your group’s rate. Infants under one-year-old are free unless the parent wants them to receive a pumpkin.  Your party package includes one adult per child for the hayride and/or corn maze. The hayride does not stop in the field. Additional adults wishing to go on the hayride or cornmaze are $5.00 per adult. (No adults receive a pumpkin ). If an adult picks a pumpkin, the adult must pay for the pumpkin in the farmstand by the pound price. Remember, your visit is not a guided tour. All parents or supervisors are responsible for the children in the party and any gifts or belongings in the party room. The room fee is paid in advance to hold your reservation and not deducted from your bill.

Food Packages are available from our Pumpkin Patch Cafe. You are welcome to bring your own food and/or cake. Delivery from other places is acceptable. We can refrigerate items for you.

NO piñatas, No Smoking, NO Alcoholic Beverages, and NO Stereos are permitted!

We do not allow paints, markers or glues to be used in decorating Pumpkins. Stickers are allowed.
