Volunteers are needed to help plant over 800 flags in front of the James Humphrey House, Plainville’s History Museum & Archives. Our traditional Flag Garden honors over 1,000 Plainville men & women who have served since King Philip’s War. All volunteers are welcome.

There will also be a need for some volunteers who are comfortable bending over & being on their knees for extended periods of time to help guide the flags into their spot. If anyone has tools that could be used for poking holes into the ground please consider loaning them to us for the day!

A separate event will be posted for visiting the garden itself. We will of course have our honor section and some new additions to the garden. We hope by creating the event early enough you can help spread the word about this important tribute to honor Plainville’s Heroes. And encourage the community at large to not only get involved but support our future flag gardens and more importantly get involved with the town’s Veterans Memorial Committee. Help create more permanent ways to honor Plainville’s Military Heroes.
