An Afternoon Workshop: Singing Words with Mark Miller
How does a composer interact with the words of a poem? There will be lots of singing, insights from Mark, and time for questions. This workshop is for music students, singers, composers and teachers alike on Wednesday, April 17th from 4:30-6:00 pm at the Bethel Church, 59 Spring St, Morristown, NJ. There is ample off-street parking on Bishop Nazery Way (across from the church).
Mark Andrew Miller has been composer-in-residence for Harmonium since 1998. He serves as Professor of Church Music at Drew Theological School and is a lecturer in the practice of sacred music at Yale University. He also is the minister of music at Christ Church in Summit.
Co-sponsored by New Jersey ACDA, the workshop offers 1.5 hours of professional development credits for New Jersey teachers. For more information visit www.harmonium.org or call 973-528-6969.
