At just 18 years old, singer/songwriter/musician, Jackson Dean pours his emotions into his writing and performing. Born and raised in Odenton, Maryland, he started performing at local establishments when he was barely 14. Very quickly, this hometown boy had a loyal following anxiously awaiting to see what he would do next.
Jackson Dean's voice takes you back to old country, blues and delivers his own unique fusion of Americana style. The lyrics coming out of this young, old soul are incredible. Now a high school graduate, with the voice of a grown man, Jackson has brought a tear to many an eye with “Brother Come Home” off his first album, The Flood Zone (2016). Not to mention “Letters Home” and "Man Upstairs” from his second album, Who We Are (2017).
In August 2018, Jackson Dean released his first world wide single, " Saturday Night" and has been steadily climbing the Music Row Breakout Artist Chart since.
In November 2018, a video of Jackson Dean singing his heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem went viral and reached over one million viewers. Now being discovered all over the US, Jackson Dean is making a statement in the country music industry and continues to perform throughout the United States. As a result of his National Anthem going viral, Jackson Dean decided to professionally record his version and the entire proceeds of the " Star Spangled Banner" single were donated towards two supported military charities. As Jackson Dean has been quoted, "I'm an American and I'm proud of my country."
Following this nationwide attention, Jackson Dean was invited on the Steve Harvey Show and made his way to LA for the taping. Many news articles and show appearances later, Jackson Dean is quickly filling his calendar with show dates including selling out his first headlining shows at Rams Head On Stage and Union Jacks of Annapolis, Maryland. Quickly becoming a local sensation, Jackson Dean was awarded Best Singer Songwriter and Best New Breakout Artist at the 2018 Maryland Music Awards .
As Jackson was once quoted on Fox & Friends News, "we have some things in the pocket...", that secret is finally out of the bag. Many months and long hours in the recording studio with band members Sean Mercer (drums), Rich Kolm (bass) and Brandon Aksteter (guitar), the NEW EP - "AIN'T NO SAINT" will be available everywhere March 30, 2019 . All written by Jackson Dean and performed by Jackson Dean & the Outsiders , so many cannot wait to download and/or purchase the CD and push replay!
This EP, "AIN'T NO SAINT" is an emotional translation of growing up and having to navigate the world of today while wishing you were born at a simpler time. There is something for everyone on this impassioned EP. Love and the rebel in all of us, growing up too fast and the fun and sexy “To Be So Bad” . Yet again at just 18 years old, one wouldn’t think that enough life has been lived by this young man to be able to write these stirring lyrics, yet here they are. The show stopping “Don’t Let Me Go” whips the crowd into an energetic sing along with powerful vocals and harmonies. Listening to “Kyotes” has been likened to watching a good movie. Crooning through “One More Time” you can’t help but want to slow dance with the one you love. You will be hard pressed to get these heart-felt, full of grit songs out of your head.
