Founded in 1963, The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts is an annual arts education program of Lakewood Center for the Arts. The festival is traditionally held at Lakewood Center and George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

The Festival of the Arts is Free:
At Lakewood Center for the Arts, a non-profit, we've worked hard to keep it that way. And while we love our major sponsors, they do not fully fund the Festival. Any money we make over our $350,000 a year operating cost goes to projects at Lakewood, such as Youth Outreach or theatre productions.

The 61st Festival of the Arts hopes to inspire the community to explore the creative spirit within all of us. Look for new immersive exhibits for the whole family, interactive activities, great food and the Festival’s dynamic music lineup.

The Dee Denton Gallery:
This year's collaboration and partnership with Open Hearts Big Dreams will embody diversity and spark a unique creation of art literacy, as a new book will be produced locally, and sent internationally to Ethiopia.  Seventeen invited artists will paint and draw “Ethiopian Dances” artwork before and during this year’s festival.  Talented artists from diverse backgrounds will weave the vibrant elements of Ethiopian dances into their creations, capturing the essence of this rich cultural heritage. One of the invited artists is from Ethiopia and will be attending the festival.

About This Exhibit:
The collaborative effort is set to produce a stunning collection of original artworks that will illustrate a new book to be sent to families in Ethiopia.  The artists will be onsite during both events to autograph the books.

Our 2024 fine arts show in George Rogers Park will be better than ever with new and returning artists! We welcome makers working in long standing traditions, artists on the cutting edge of contemporary making, and newly emerging artists of all stripes.

We challenged artists to show us their Happy Place! Experience a realm of boundless inspiration and heartfelt tranquility as you join us on a creative journey. Immerse yourself in the magic of creation and watch your happy place unfold before your eyes.

Ten students exhibit and sell their work as professionals in a unique exhibit on the main floor of the Lakewood Center during the 2024 Festival of the Arts. This exhibit is their first show as professional artists!

Vibrant art from students across the region returns to the downstairs area at Lakewood Center.
