Visions of Europe: A Film Series with Diego Ongaro

A gorgeous atmospheric drama on the German shores, a bizarre and hilarious police investigation, and a visually-striking portrait of underprivileged French youth. Film director and Norfolk resident, Diego Ongaro will introduce three under-the-radar contemporary films with unique voices, highlighting the creative richness and vitality of the European film landscape.

Hypnotic, witty and poignant, Afire follows a group of friends on the Baltic sea where emotions runs high as the parched forest around them catches fire. A genre defying comedy of manners from the German master Christian Petzold that could be an Eric Rohmer movie that escaped from the 1970s.
