DJ is the "Social Butterfly Guy" on his blog of the same name. What's with the name? According to DJ, he was the guy who "got bored real quick if he was not engaging with other people."
Some things haven't changed for DJ and not only is he anxious to engage with others, but he's also doing some cross pollination of good deeds with his 28-day Challenge: Good Deeds.
The challenge kicked off on August 8th and he's been steadily growing followers who agree to do at least one good deed a day. The deeds are piling up so quickly they've taken to adding them to a Google spreadsheet everyone can contribute to.
According to DJ, there are currently, "more than 120 participants—people of all ages, shapes, sizes, ethnic backgrounds, races, males & females, folks from all over the country and the world. It's crazy!"
It's crowd sourcing taken to the next level … finding people to offer energy and ideas to a project, and in this case it's a way to do good deeds.
It's not too late to join in the challenge and never too late to start your own personal or public challenge to improve your life and the lives of those around you. Just one good deed a day...
