Pamela Cantor Works to Turnaround Failing Schools

Dr. Pamela Cantor has been nationally recognized for her efforts to help improve the lives of children and families.She is a child psychiatrist who has been focusing on child trauma for more than 20 years. While the word trauma brings to mind major negative events, what she has found over the years is that the daily effects of poverty in children's lives has more of an impact than single traumatic events.Working with this insight she developed a plan for turning failing schools into functioning schools.
