Schedule of Events

June 7-10, 2023

Chalk The Block at PG Main Street

Start anytime on June 7th
Must be completed by 3pm, June 10th

PG Cares and US & Art will be sponsoring the Strawberry Days 2023 Chalk the Main Street Block contest!

Artists will be allowed to work on their art starting Wednesday, June 7th and art must be finished by 3 pm on Saturday, June 10th. Winners will be announced during the Main Street Party around 8 pm.

We will have 4 different age-based groups for the competition. Groups of people (family, friends, organizations) may work together on a chalk art piece. You must enter the age category of the oldest person working on the art.

Each age group will have winners in the following categories:
1. PG Cares Connection Category – art that showcases connection to family, friends, or community

2. US & Art Talent Category – art that showcases chalk art talent

3. PG Council and Royalty Choice Award – art chosen by our City Council and PG Royalty

Winner in each category will receive a Community Connection Prize Basket valued at $50.

Deadline to register for the Chalk the Block contest is Sunday, June 4th at midnight.

Once artists are registered, we will reach out with your assigned sidewalk square on June 5th and 6th.

Community Art Show at Pleasant Grove Rec Center (547 S Locust)

This year's theme for the Strawberry Days Community Art Contest is “Strength Lies in our Roots”

It will be on display in the lobby of the Pleasant Grove Rec. Center from Saturday, June 10 -17

Artists ages 3 and up are welcome to enter. Entry is free. Two and three-dimensional art will be accepted. Participants may drop off their entries at the PG Rec Center on Friday, June 9 from 4 -7 pm. Art pieces need to be framed or mounted on sturdy mat board. Artwork needs to be picked up on Saturday, June 17 before 4 pm. After June 24, all pieces will be donated or discarded.

June 10, 2023

7am - 10am: Fireman's Breakfast at Fire Station Downtown Park

Bring the family to the annual Fireman's Pancake Breakfast hosted by PGFD!
Cost: $5 per Person

8am-2pm: Car Show at Shannon Fields

Attend the Fireman's Breakfast, then join us at the Car Show!

Food vendors, Come see over 100 classic and exotic cars!

Bring Your Car: Any car is welcome to exhibit at the car show for free. Must be at Shannon Park by 7:15 am on Saturday, June 10

Fundraiser: All money raised will go towards the PGPD K-9 unit

Main Street Concert at Center St to 100 S on Main Street

Strawberries n' Cream for purchase
Free for all ages. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a concert right on Main Street!
Time: 6 pm - Food Trucks, 7 pm - Concert

7:00pm - Program, Street Dance and Concert at Salamandar

June 12, 2023

10:00 am and 11 am: Strawberries and Stories at Downtown Park

1:30 pm-8 pm: Free Swim Day at Veterans Memorial Pool (582 E 300 S)

Bring the family for a fun day of swimming!
Unfortunately, if there is inclement weather, we will NOT be able to reschedule the Free Family Swim. Rain checks will NOT be given.

Buddy Day discount program from 1 pm to 11 pm.
From 1 pm – 5 pm any person can purchase a wristband for $35 and a buddy will get a wristband for free. Both people must be present at time of purchase, no exceptions PLEASE!
Buddy with the free wristband does NOT need to ride with a buddy.
Wristband is good all day for any ride – unlimited!
Buddy wristbands only sold from 1 pm – 5 pm but will be good from 1 pm to close.

2pm - 5pm: Pioneer Tours at Old Bell School (55 S 100 E)

The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers will be sharing stories and giving tours of The Old Bell School, original log cabins and more. Bring the family to learn more about Pleasant Grove's pioneer history!

Parade route begins at Pleasant Grove High School (700 E 200 S)
Travel west down 200 S to 100 E
Turn left, go 1 block, turn right, go 1 block then turn right onto Main street
Travel north down Main street to Center street
Turn left and travel west down center until the railroad tracks, turn right and end
