Arts and Entertainment

May 18, 2023

From: Dirt Dauber Festival

More than 50 Texas clay artists, live music, a variety of demonstrations, Kid's Clay Play area and refreshments are among the highlights of the 10th Annual Dirt Dauber Festival taking place at Eye of the Dog Art Center in San Marcos.

Dirt Dauber offers a free, family-friendly way to enjoy and learn more about clay arts on the unique, 12-acre campus of EOTDAC. The eclectic site features a visual treat of art installations, unique buildings including a large open studio, a gallery, private studios, and a wooded courtyard that serves as home to an outdoor kitchen, stage and most of the clay artists' booths for the two-day event.

In addition, one of the annual highlights of the Festival are a number of clay-related contests through which participants can pick up annual bragging rights and one of the much-coveted trophies created each year by Eye co-founder, Billy Ray Mangham. This year’s models are sure to attract even more participants.

As always, the Festival is free to enter and park and will feature refreshments and an extremely laid-back vibe to enjoy the local art scene and purchase some truly unique works.
