Natalia and Oriol are a couple of filmmakers in their thirties who have a little daughter called Lia. One day, they receive an offer to direct a documentary and they decide to make a film about couples in love. Natalia and Oriol interview many couples, always wanting to know how they get along and what their most typical problems are. But as filming progresses, wounds of their own relationship begin to open up, fights and doubts seem to be endless. But finishing the film will be their opportunity to reformulate their love for each other and their love for cinema.

7:30pm: Salvatore:Shoemaker of Dreams (Italy)
Growing up poor in Bonito, Italy, Salvatore Ferragamo began his career as a shoemaker before he was barely a teenager. Immigrating to America in 1915 at the age of 16, his work would soon help invent the glamour of Hollywood’s silent era as he created shoes for iconic films including The Thief of Bagdad and The Ten Commandments and for stars including Gloria Swanson, Mary Pickford, and Douglas Fairbanks, many of whom became his friends. Overcoming a Depression-era setback, Ferragamo rebounded and would define mid-century elegance for performers including Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth, and Ingrid Bergman - all while embarking on a love story and warm family life with his wife, Wanda, and their six children.

4:00pm: Hit The Road (Iran)
Panah Panahi, son and collaborator of embattled Iranian master Jafar Panahi, makes a striking feature debut with this charming, sharp-witted, and deeply moving comic drama. Hit the Road takes the tradition of the Iranian road-trip movie and adds unexpected twists and turns. It follows a family of four - two middle-aged parents and their sons, one a taciturn adult, the other an ebullient six-year-old - as they drive across the Iranian countryside. Over the course of the trip, they bond over memories of the past, grapple with fears of the unknown, and fuss over their sick dog. Unspoken tensions arise and the film builds emotional momentum as it slowly reveals the furtive purpose for their journey. The result is a humanist drama that offers an authentic, raw, and deeply sincere observation of an Iranian family preparing to part with one of their own.

7:30pm: Pink Moon (Netherlands)
When completely out of the blue Iris (29) is told by her father Jan (74) that he has had enough of life and wants to die, she is forced to face the total absurdity of the situation. As his unsettling deadline approaches, Iris decides to ignore her brother’s watertight action plan. She strong-arms her father into answering the one question that matters to her: why Without ever getting a satisfactory answer, she eventually tries to find herself a way to deal with her father’s very last wish.
