Centerville, MA - Award winning journalist and broadcaster, Charlie Rose will be the Celebrity Guest Conductor for the 29th Annual Pops by the Sea concert presented by The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. Rose will join the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra on the Hyannis Village Green.
Charlie Rose is anchor and executive editor of Charlie Rose, the nightly one-hour program that engages in one-on-one, in-depth conversations and round-table discussions, and the newly launched Charlie Rose, This Week, chronicling the best stories and interviews of the past seven days. He also co-anchors CBS This Morning and is a contributing correspondent to 60 Minutes.
According to Kevin Howard, Executive Director of the Arts Foundation, "We are delighted to welcome Charlie Rose to our stage. Pops by the Sea, in its 29th year, has a distinguished history, which has included giants in broadcast journalism such as Walter Cronkite and Mike Wallace. The Pops by the Sea concert, viewed by an enthusiastic annual audience of 15,000 on the Hyannis Village Green, featuring the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, conducted by Keith Lockhart. Many levels of seating are available starting with General Admission Lawn Tickets at $20.
