Join us for the 42nd Annual Good Ol' Days Festival!

Back to the bricks! - Fort Scott, Kansas - June 2 & 3, 2023

Come on back to the 42nd annual Good Ol' Days!

The 42nd Annual Fort Scott Good Ol’ Days Festival kicks off on Friday June 2 with The largest parade in Bourbon County.  Be sure to bring your lawn chair and line up along Main street between 6th street running north to Wall Street, then west to National, then back south to 6th Street.  This years Grand Marshall is Travis Shelton.

The first year had several locations where events took place, the pool, Frary field, Gunn park, and downtown.  Eventually it was realized that everything should be downtown, and that’s where we are 42 years later.

You know we couldn’t host a Good Ol’ Days Festival without the Good Ol’ Chicken Dinner! Enjoy a dinner from Chicken Mary’s right here in Downtown Fort Scott! The meal will be available for pick-up behind the Lowell Milken Center on Friday, June 3rd from 4:30-6 pm. The $9 ticket includes chicken, 2 sides, bread & a bottle of water.

The Downtown Good Ol’ Days Parade kicks off Friday night at 6 pm. This year’s theme is “Back to the bricks.”  It’s the biggest parade of the year here in Fort Scott so you sure don’t want to miss out! Or have some fun and build a parade float to enter instead!

Have we mentioned that this year’s Good Ol’ Days Festival will be bigger & better than ever, so we decided to have not one, but two concerts! Join us Friday, June 2nd at 7:00 pm for Whiskey Outlaws and Bobby Degonia live in concert. The event will be held at The Pavilion, Free of charge! Bring your lawn chair.

We’ll get started bright and early Saturday, June 3rd with the Dragoon Charge at 8am! Then downtown Fort Scott will come alive with craft vendors, food trucks, pony rides, live entertainment and so much more! If you make something awesome that you want to show off sign up as a vendor! (application) Red Garter will perform its first show and will continue all day on Saturday beginning at 10 am at 3rd and main.

After the Good Ol’ Days Festival street fair join us at The Pavilion for 80’s and Out.  The show will be Saturday, June 3rd at 7:00 pm. FREE of Charge!

Celebrating 42 years in Fort Scott, Kansas. Come “Back to the Bricks” and join us for a fun-filled weekend at the 2023 Good Ol’ Days Festival!
