This year we are celebrating our 73 rd fair and we are so excited to be back for another wonderful weekend filled with fun 4-H projects, livestock shows, and impressive static exhibits. The fair began officially in 1949 and soon became a major event for 4-H members from all over Central Massachusetts.

Thursday, July 27, 2023

9:00 am - 5:00 pm -- General set up of Exhibit Hall, Cattle Barn including Sheep and Goat pens and Ag Building-set up for Poultry and Rabbits.

Friday, July 28, 2023

10:00 am - 2:00 pm Check- in for Beef Cattle participating in Big E Qualifying events

12:00 pm - 8:00 pm Exhibitors check-in at the Exhibit Hall, complete exhibitor cards and place exhibits in appropriate class.

12:00 pm-8:00 pm Animal Check-in: Check in with Commodity Chair or 4-H Educator

3:00 pm Beef Judging –two classes with reasons. All youth are welcome to participate

7:00 pm Ice Cream Social.

9:00 am Opening Ceremony

9:30 am -11:00 am Exhibit Hall Drop Off - All items must be in place by 11:00 am, NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED

10:30 am Start of Beef, Goat & Rabbit Shows

11:30 am Hall Judging Begins

12:00 pm - 3: 00 pm Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull

1:00 pm Cloverbud Showcase - Cattle, Goats & Rabbits

2:00 pm Visual Presentations on the Stage

2:00 pm - 4:00pm Various Activities Happening -Rocketry, Ag Olympics, Vegetable & Flower Planting Station and Ignite Booth

4:00 pm Livestock may leave fairgrounds as long as their show is complete

5:00 pm Costume Contest

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Dinner

8:00 pm Movie Night Featuring- The Biggest Little Farm
*Livestock may not be removed from the fairgrounds until grounds have been cleaned up and alt have been dismissed by the 4-H Educator.

10:00 am Start of Dairy, Sheep, Swine, Poultry Shows & Cloverbud Showcase

12:30 pm Beef Cook-Off Contest – Must be pre-registered for this event

1:30 pm Basket Donation Drawing in front of Exhibit Hall

2:00 pm Auction of vegetables, flowers, food, and other available items will begin at 2:00 pm providing that all livestock shows are completed.
