The 2023 Festival of Cinema NYC will take place from August 4 - August 13 at the Regal UA Midway theater and the Queens Library in Forest Hills, Queens. Along with its presentation of more than 100 screenings, popular Red Carpet entrances flush with seemingly countless filmmakers, actors, documentary subjects, and below-the-line talent, the festival will also offer filmmaking seminars and workshops, that are completely free and open to the public, at the Queens Library in Forest Hills. The jam-packed week and a half of screenings and events will conclude with an Awards Ceremony on August 13th at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center in Jamaica Queens.

Come mingle with some of the hottest filmmakers, writers, producers and actors who will be in attendance and showcasing their work at Queen's biggest independent film festival.

Tickets to this event are free. There will be a cash bar and free white castle burgers for early arrivers....while they last!

6:00pm: Festival of Cinema NYC 2023 Awards Dinner - JPAC

The 2023 Festival of Cinema NYC comes to a close with the Awards Dinner Celebration honoring the nominated films from the 2023 event. Taking place at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center in Queens, awards will be handed out in 17 categories including the Audience Choice winners for Feature and Short length film.

Guest of honor, Queens native film director, Dito Montiel to receive the Festival of Cinema NYC Indie Film Vanguardian Award for his work in film.

Tickets to this engagement are open to the public and to all participating filmmakers. Entry includes a buffet style dinner, open bar, with music and entertainment.

While we encourage you to dress your best, dress code is casual.

Run time is approximately 5 1/2 hours. Online ticket sales end 1 hour prior to the event start time. Limited tickets will be available for purchase at the door. All sales are final. No refunds.
