96 Days Into Her Campaign, Voters Still Don’t Know Where No-Answer Nella Stands on Key Issues

Government and Politics

Several weeks since No-Answer Nella dodged a real stance  on abortion rights and voting for Trump in an interview with the Rio Grande Sun, the GOP candidate still refuses to give voters any specifics.

But what we have heard from Nella so far is that she plans to campaign on her last name and time in East Coast boardrooms, alarmingly out of touch with everyday New Mexicans. A recent study ranked New Mexico as the state most at risk of being taken advantage of by private equity - like the kind Nella built her career on. While her corporate career may have given her the resources to self-fund her campaign, as a newcomer to our state, there is no way for her to hide that she is alarmingly out of touch with working families and what matters to them.

96 days into her campaign, it is time voters demand straight answers from Nella on two questions in particular:

  1. Did you vote for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020 and will you vote for him this year?

  2. Where do you stand on nationwide access to abortion care, particularly on access to Mifepristone?

“If No-Answer Nella thinks she can not only parachute into New Mexico to buy a U.S. Senate seat, but avoid declaring a position on access to medication abortion like Mifepristone or voting for Donald Trump, she should guess again,” said Democratic Party of New Mexico Spokesperson Daniel Garcia. “No-Answer Nella’s East Coast connections may have helped build her career in corporate boardrooms and help her self-fund her campaign, but if she wants to represent New Mexico, she should start by telling us her positions on the issues at some point.”

Come November, voters won’t be impressed by Nella’s Wall Street connections, last name, or ability to self-fund her campaign, but will remember she disrespected them by dodging accountability for as long as possible.
