From: Arts Council Northeast

The City of Watauga and ArtsNET are pleased to welcome Christopher McGuire & Friends for a concert with a program of “Bach, Brazil, and The Beatles” from 6:30pm to 7:30 pm at the Watauga Public Library.

Christopher McGuire, based in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, commands the many expressive qualities of the guitar with what one critic called “unselfconscious intensity”. His engaging performance style invites people of all ages to feel as if they are taking part, not just taking a seat.

His direct influences include private lessons with Maestro Segovia and jam sessions with Stevie Ray Vaughn. Christopher has also shared a stage with legendary pianist Van Cliburn.

He is currently the Artistic Director of the Fort Worth Classic Guitar Society (FWCGS) and The Allegro Guitar Society of Dallas (AGSD).

Through the MasterWorks Series, ArtsNET and the City of Watauga present free performances on selected evenings throughout the year. The MasterWorks Series is designed to offer a variety of quality family entertainment to the community by utilizing the talent of local, regional, and national artists.
