Amador County : Electra Fire 80% Contained. Evacuations Lifted

July 10th 2022 9:00 AM - The Electra Fire has burned over 4,478 acres and is 80% contained.

INCIDENT REPORT - July 4th, 2022 A windland fire broke out along the Amador-Calaveras county line, prompting widespread evacuation orders. Fire resources, along with the Amador and Calaveras County Sheriff's Offices were immediately dispatched. More than 100 fire engines, 1,200 firefighters and 14 helicopters were sent to fight the fire. While structures within the fire perimeter remain threatened, none have been destroyed or damaged. No civilian injuries or fatalities reported.

Cal Fire expects full containment by July 16th, according to the Sunday morning incident report.

Per PG&E, all power to residences impacted by the Electra Fire has been restored.

EVACUATION UPDATE:

The Amador County Sheriff's Office has removed the evacuation orders South of Butte Mountain Rd. This area is reduced from an evacuation order to a warning zone. All communities under evacuation orders have been reduced to warnings. Areas within the fire perimeter remain closed and under evacuation order.

The warning area south of Hwy 88 and Hwy 26 running east from French Gulch Rd to the Calaveras County line has been removed. Please refer to the updated Amador County OES Incident Map for more information.

POST EVACUATION WASTE MANAGEMENT

On Monday, July 11th, the Amador County Sheriff's Office will have six dumpsters dropped off within the previous evacuation areas for residents to discard trash and spoiled goods. Below are the locations the dumpsters will be delivered to Monday morning. The dumpsters are for everyone impacted by the Electra Fire evacuations or power outages. The dumpsters will be out for ONE week before being collected.

-Butte Mtn Rd near King and Shirley
-Upper Clinton Rd at Butte Mtn Rd
-Clinton Rd at W. Clinton Rd
-Tabeaud Rd at Clinton Bar Rd
-Tabeaud Rd at Eldel Rd

ROAD CLOSURES

The Amador County Sheriff's Office has removed the road closures located at Clinton Bar Rd and Gold Strike Rd. This area is reduced from an evacuation order to a warning zone. There are no longer any road closures within Amador County.
