American Cancer Society News - 30 People Begin this Journey Every Hour

Health and Fitness

October 26, 2022

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This year alone more than 290,000 people will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. It’s the second most common cancer in American women after skin cancers.

That’s an average of more than 30 moms, dads, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, and best friends beginning their cancer journey every hour – and hundreds of loved ones walking with them.

But there is hope, thanks to our amazing supporters, like you.

With your help, we’re able to be there for every step of every cancer journey through:

- Research breakthroughs that will help save lives
- Valuable information and support for those facing breast cancer and their families
- Awareness about breast cancer screening and support for low-cost and no-cost screening tests in under-resourced areas
- Advocacy for a world in which everyone gets the care they need

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will you make a gift to fight all cancers and help save lives?
