3:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m: Blood Donor Drive at Fifth Avenue Dental, 1829 5th Avenue, Anoka, 55303
Help us to save lives at our blood drive. We have partnered with Memorial Blood Centers. Look for the “Molly and Luke’s” van to roll into town and scare the vampires away on this very important mission,
When siblings Molly and Luke were each diagnosed with a rare pediatric cancer, multiple blood transfusions sustained them through bone marrow transplants that saved their lives. Now they are celebrating as a family by hosting a blood drive—a family dedicated to giving back.

7:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m: Pumpkin Bowl at Goodrich Field
Our historical Football game is scheduled. Come cheer on our Anoka Tornadoes as they take on White Bear Lake in the 74th annual Pumpkin Bowl. Purchase Anoka Halloween merchandise from the 2023 Anoka Halloween Royal Ambassador Candidates before the game. Witness an amazing halftime show performance as well as the Anoka Halloween Youth Citizen Scholarship award presentation.

Bingo has been a long-standing tradition for Anoka Halloween.
Doors open at 5:30pm
25 cents a card

10:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m: Children’s Costume Contest - Free at Anoka City Hall
This long standing yearly costume contest is all about fun! Get out those scary good creative minds and share your spooktacular costumes! Kid friendly Halloween music, balloon arch, and special treat bags for each participant. Entertainment provided by Story Book Entertainment. This event will be open to ages 0-5.

1:00 p.m - 2:30 p.m: Children’s Pumpkin Carving Contest - Free at Riverfront Memorial Park
Children ages 3 to 12.

7:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m: Light Up the Night Parade - Free at Anoka Main Street
With a full line-up of colorfully lit floats, this parade is always a crowd favorite. Join us and Light Up the Night!
The parade starts at 7 p.m at the corner of 1st Ave and Main Street.
Spaces along Main Street can be reserved after 4 PM. Prior to this time and items will be removed.

Medallion Hunt
Join us in search of the Anoka Halloween Capital of the World custom medallion. 2022 Anoka Halloween Button required for participation . ($3)

2 Hunts:
12:00 p.m - 2:00 p.m: Family and Children Hunt - 12 and under – No group to big or small.  Maximum of 2adults per group
2:30 p.m - 4:30 p.m: Open Hunt - All ages. The winner of the first hunt is ineligible for this hunt.
Prize: $400.00 to the winner of the 2022 Medallion Hunt. The winner will be mailed a check after the event and medallion has been verified.

1:15 p.m - 2:15 p.m: Big Parade of Little People - Free at Anoka Main Street
Join us in celebrating our elementary students participate in Anoka Halloween’s oldest tradition.  Local school children march through our historic downtown area.
Marching bands and costumes for all to enjoy.

Enjoy the house decorating creations from your car.

12:50 p.m: 36th Annual Gray Ghost 5K at Franklin Elementary School
Gray Ghost 5K Run and One Mile Fitness Walk Join us Saturday, October 29th  – Run the parade route in front of thousands of cheering fans! Get an awesome shirt and finisher medal for your 5K completion. Refreshments are available for finishers of either event. Costumes encouraged; top 3 in each age group recognized with an award pin. Costume contest for the best individual, 2 to 3 person teams and group costumes. Start near the Franklin Elementary School at 12:50 p.m.  Animals are not allowed on the race course. 1:00 p.m - 3:30 p.m: Grande Day Parade - Free at Anoka Main Street
The parade starts at 1 pm at State Street and Main Street.  Route follows Main Street to 5th Avenue and finishes at South Street/ Military Road.  The parade length is 1.5 miles long.
Spaces along Main St. and 5th Avenue may be reserved after 4 AM the day of the parade. Chairs/blankets set out prior to this time will be removed by the city.

6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m: Anoka Halloween Ambassador Coronation at Anoka High School
Enjoy this historic presentation and learn about the growth and development of our candidates. Say good-bye to the outgoing Ambassadors and experience the crowning of the 2023 Anoka Royal Ambassadors. Enjoy refreshments after the presentation and stay for photo opportunities.

9:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m: City of Anoka Waste Reduction, Pumpkin Smashing - Free at Sorenson Park
The City of Anoka’s Waste Reduction & Recycling Board is hosting a pumpkin smash Don’t Trash it, Smash it and help divert pumpkins from the landfill!
Bring your Halloween pumpkins and toss them into the composting bin. Remove all decorations, candles, etc. beforehand.
