Latitude: Glimpses of seasonal landscapes

Artist Statement:

My daily work and passions involve physically being active outdoors, constantly moving, considering and observing details. My constant wonder of the landscapes surrounding me, and its daily shifts, give my physical work more meaning knowing it’s always changing, never the same.

Working the paints by scrubbing, brushing, dissolving and rebuilding onto the canvas, I am constantly considering the particular glimpse of what I’ve seen. Complementing each piece with my handmade wooden frames, complete these landscapes.

These paintings are my way of staying outdoors, capturing those glimpses, and sharing this latitude with you, the viewer. – Wendy Bauer Braun.
