Centerville, MA - The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod has chosen the artists who will be featured in the eighth year of their juried winter art exhibit at Cotuit Center for the Arts. This year's exhibit, titled Opposites Attract will feature artists' interpretation of the theme both literally and figuratively. It will feature 72 of the Cape's top established and emerging artists and run from January 10 through February 21, 2015.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. School groups will be welcomed to the exhibit for free for the duration of the show, and will be given docent-led tours and art instruction customized to the age level of the children.
"The Arts Foundation is pleased to offer this outstanding exhibition to the public, and we're proud that the exhibit is designed especially with Cape Cod's young people in mind," said David B. Kaplan, Interim Executive Director of the Arts Foundation. He continued "many people and organization's have made the exhibit possible and enabled us to keep it free. This year we're particularly grateful to our Barnstable County government leadership for again supporting this exhibit and recognizing the Arts Foundation as the region's Designated Arts Agency. The exhibit perfectly embodies the Arts Foundation's mission to support, promote, celebrate and strengthen the arts on Cape Cod."
There were 156 submissions from area artists for this year's exhibit. The jury, made up of local art experts, chose the following artists for inclusion in the exhibition: Corine Adams, Vincent Amicosante, Eve Aspinwall, Jane Fay Baker, Howard E.
