The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod announces its summer 2013 internship opportunities for college students or recent high school or college graduates interested in careers in Arts & Culture or Non-Profit Organizations. We provide an ideal environment to learn about a regional arts agency that serves individual artists in all mediums, arts organizations throughout Cape Cod, educational institutions and other varied arts-related initiatives.

Our high-energy environment is suited for multi-taskers with strong initiative and attention to detail with the opportunity to dedicate their summer to immersing themselves in the regional arts and cultural community on Cape Cod.

Interns will gain hands on experience with all aspects of projects including:

The 28th Annual "Pops by the Sea Concert" in Hyannis featuring the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra
The 24th Annual "Pops In The Park Concert" in Orleans featuring the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra
The Arts Foundation Summer Concert Series featuring 48 concerts in 8 towns over 6 weeks presenting the Cape's best local musical groups.

Arts Foundation interns have gained invaluable resumé experience, many important connections and earned important references, critical to advancing their career. 

From late May through late August (at least through 8/25)
Hours:  full time; with evening and weekend work
Stipend: $10/hour
A cover letter, resume and references must be received by April 1, 2013.   


Candidates should demonstrate an interest in the Arts or non-profit organizations.  Successful interns should possess a sense of humor, be a team player and be extremely reliable and responsible.  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse groups of people is essential.

Interns must provide their own housing. Candidates are required to have their own vehicle, mileage is reimbursed. Familiarity with Microsoft word, Excel required. Familiarity with digital photography/videography and social media is a plus.  Knowledge of Cape Cod or a wonderful sense of direction is required.
