GOWANUS OVERSIGHT TASK FORCE | QUARTERLY PUBLIC MEETING

Register for the Gowanus Oversight Task Force's Quarterly Public Meeting #4 on December 14 (6-8pm) and hear updates on NYCHA investments and small business and workforce development. 

The City has committed to $450 million in total investments in Gowanus. The task force has invited NYC Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA), and NYC Small Business Services (SBS) to present the status of their commitments to NYCHA, affordable housing, small business support, and workforce training for residents. Your participation and expertise is vital to making a positive impact in Gowanus.

A Light That Never Goes Out: A Group Exhibition
Established Gallery 75 6th Avenue, Prospect Heights

Mark your calendars! A Light That Never Goes Out opens at Established Gallery on Friday, December 15 (7-9pm).

Curated by Johnny Thornton and Pamela Wong, this group exhibition features amazing illuminated works by 11 local artists.

Come check it out during the opening reception, where we'll also celebrate Johnny Thornton's birthday!

ANNUAL GIVE BACK MARKET

Textile Arts Center’s Brooklyn Studio will be transformed into the seventh annual Give Back Market, a community driven fundraising event dedicated to supporting textile artisans and Gowanus Mutual Aid.

We are neighbors helping neighbors, in solidarity. Shop locally handmade textiles and drop in for soft ornament and foil printing workshops.    

Meet the Artists in Residence of Cycle 15 at Open Studios taking place on Sunday, Dec. 17, 3-6pm.
