Painting & Birding

Join us for an evening of birds and watercolor. Enjoy a short birding outing with ACES bird guide, Rebecca Weiss, then explore techniques, materials, and tools of watercolor with local artist Amy Beidleman. Let your creativity fly!

Discover the diverse birdlife of the Roaring Fork Valley with ACES on Tuesday mornings throughout the summer. Birders of all levels are welcome! Outings meet at ACES’ Hallam Lake Nature Preserve or Rock Bottom Ranch.

ACES Naturalist-guided Tours

Join an ACES Naturalist for a guided hike this summer and learn about natural history, local ecology, and more. Free tours happen daily at the Maroon Bells, Aspen Mountain, and Snowmass. First come, first served!

Private tours offered daily by reservation. Call ACES at (970) 925-5756 to reserve a private tour.

Know Your Trees Walk

Mondays, 4pm

June 19 - August 28

Hallam Lake

$10 suggested donation, free for members

Come explore ACES’ backyard and discover species of conifers and deciduous trees. Join ACES' Naturalist Program Director or ACES' Forest Program Director on this hour-long walk around the Hallam Lake neighborhood to identify local trees.
