Summer is here!

We hope you explore the outdoors and learn about the environment with ACES this summer! Start early one morning with an exciting birding outing, unleash your creative side during one of our workshops, or go on a hike with a Naturalist! Attend a Birds of Prey Demonstration or learn how to identify your neighborhood trees in Know Your Trees! Then, spot a beaver at Hallam Lake during Sunset Beaver Walks.

Ranch Experiences have returned for the summer! Join us for Farm Animal ConnectionsInside the Beehive, and Vegetable Tastings, rotating on Thursdays. We will have Egg Collection on Fridays and Hayride Farm Tours on Saturdays. These experiences are the perfect activity to pair with our new RBR self-guided tour!

Naturalist Tours have begun!

Hike with an ACES Naturalist! Get to know more about the Roaring Fork Valley by hiking with an ACES Summer Naturalist guide. Meet us at one of our free locations daily, or reserve a private hike. Our guides know the area and have a wealth of stories and information to share about the flora, fauna, and history of the area. Tours run daily through Monday, September 5.

Spotlight Tour

River Run Sunset Hike

Daily, by reservation

Join an ACES Naturalist for a hike through the Ashcroft ghost town up to the famed Pine Creek Cookhouse. After wandering along Castle Creek through wildflower meadows and mountain vistas, enjoy dinner at the Cookhouse. The hike duration is 2 hours, with departure dependent on restaurant reservation time.
