On June 1st, ownership of Stein & Sons transferred to Yvonne M. Whalen. Stein & Sons offers affordable cremation and burial services in Auburn and the surrounding communities.

Stein & Sons was established in 2011 by Philip Stein. A family owned business that offers personalized, simple, and uncomplicated cremation and burial arrangements that we believe allows a family to focus on being together during the difficult time of the loss of a loved one. Yvonne intends to continue the Stein & Sons tradition of serving families with compassion, dignity, and professionalism.

Yvonne, a licensed funeral professional for over 27 years, garnered a BS in Management and went on to complete an MBA in Management & Strategy and continued to certify as a Six Sigma Black Belt Professional (SSBBP), in addition to the various industry licenses she holds. Family is important to Yvonne. She is married and has 3 boys, her son (and daughter in law) and two nephews she helped raise as her own. She and her husband love to travel and have travelled extensively across the United States.

Currently, Yvonne enjoys membership in various organizations, such as, the National Notary Association, the North Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, and the North Sacramento Rotary Club where she is also a 2023 Board Member.
