Team members from Avanti Senior Living at Towne Lake and Vision Park recently visited local coffee shops on February 17th to buy patrons coffee in recognition of National Random Acts of Kindness Day. Avanti Senior Living at Towne Lake team members, Michele Craig, community relations director, and Andrya Caeser, resident and family advocate, came to Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee House to purchase the first thirty people they met a coffee of their choice. Residents from the community accompanied the team and were treated to coffee and pastries as well. Avanti Senior Living at Vision Park team members, Joy Wilson, community relations director, and Jeanette McMackin, resident and family advocate, provided coffee to the first thirty people they met at Starbucks at Hughes Landing.
Team members passed out coupons for one complimentary coffee per person, provided by Avanti Senior Living, as well as a cute card reminding them to pay it forward and do their own random act of kindness to celebrate the day. By showing appreciation for residents and by giving to the outside community, Avanti hoped to start many peoples' day off in the right kind of way, with kindness.
The two senior living communities were eager to make a difference in the lives of people in the surrounding community. To kick start their outreach, they decided to participate in Random Acts of Kindness Day by providing coffees to people in the surrounding areas.
