Kids

Lunch @ the Library 

Monday - Friday, 11:30am - 12:30pm  

Children between the ages of 2-18 eat FREE at the library. Join us for a meal and some fun activities as we kick off the day. 

Quantum Kids Lab  

Monday June 27th, 11:45am   

Join us during  Lunch @ the Library for  science demos with our friends from Quantum Kids Laboratories. 

Family Board Games 

Monday June 27th, 1pm - 3pm  

Join us after Lunch @ the Library for some fun family board games. 

Preschool Storytime with Alicia Gutierrez

Lego Maniacs

Let your imagination grow! Stop by one of our lego maniac events and build to your hearts desire. 

Children's Book Club

Join us for this virtual book club and get to meet the author of the book. Children's Book Club meets every forth Tuesday of the month.

Toddler Time

Toddler Time is all about play! Enjoy rhymes, songs, bounces, and books just right for your little one, followed by imaginative play time.

Meet Rukiyah Polk; a financial educator and coach who can answer your money questions and help set you on a quest toward financial literacy.

Bakersfield College Information Table 

Thursday June 30th, 3:30pm-5:30pm 

Teens and Young Adults are welcomed to join Bakersfield College for an informational table about the school.

Graphic Novel Book Club 

Monday June 27th, 5pm 

Join library staff members virtually every month to discuss a new graphic novel. Graphic Novel Book Club meets every fourth Monday of the month. 

Book Talk Bakersfield 

Virtually Every Wednesday

Join library staff members, Fahra and Jasmin as they navigate through their reading journeys. Find out what they have been reading, watching, and listening to for the week. 

Cricut Crafternoon 

Thursday June 30th, 4pm 

Learn how to use the Cricut machine and make some from projects with library staff members.
