Beachfront Macro Photography

What can your macro lens do for you? Join Michael S. Miller of Visions on this late afternoon journey to the Avon-By-The-Sea beach for this hands-on workshop. You will begin to visualize and identify creative opportunities, that stand on their own as unique artistic creations, rather than the typical postcard shot.
Michael will share with you how to enhance your creativity and build your visual toolbox; depth of field, composition, elements of design, textures, contrast, camera angels, and working with available light. Learn how to make the ordinary, into the extraordinary.

Susanna Anastasia comes to Belmar Arts having spent 30 plus years teaching the basics of watercolor painting.
Students will begin to explore the mechanics of this medium along with the properties of paint, paper and water.

Wire Wrapping Crystals 101

During this gathering, you will learn basic wire wrapping techniques using bare copper wire and a crystal/stone of your choice. Together, we will learn and practice two simple wire wrapping techniques. Your crystal creations will be suspended from an 18-inch faux leather cord so that you can wear it yourself or gift it to someone special.

Students will watch a short presentation where they will be shown some nuts & bolts of making comics. The instructor will walk students through designing their own original characters then he will help students write and draw short diary comics based on things that have happened in their own lives.
