Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group is proud to announce its Cabernet Sleigh drive, a company-wide holiday initiative benefitting Metropolitan Ministries. The Tampa area real estate firm is collecting holiday donations of non-perishable food and toys for all ages at all of its branch offices.
On Friday, Dec. 15, the company's Cabernet Sleigh (a U-Haul truck with a nod to the company's colors of cabernet and cream) will ride again. Company leaders Allen Crumbley and Dewey Mitchell will drive the Cabernet Sleigh, pick up donations from the firm's branch offices and deliver them to Metropolitan Ministries.
In 2016, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty's Cabernet Sleigh holiday drive resulted in donations of nearly 10,000 pounds of food, more than 1,300 gifts and more than $2,500 in gift cards enough to assist nearly 500 area families. This year the company has set a goal to collect twice as much and help more than 1,000 families.
"Our company is honored to support Metropolitan Ministries and its efforts to bring hope home to everyone in our region," said Allen Crumbley, Broker/Owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group. "Our Cabernet Sleigh is particularly meaningful because it brings together everyone from our offices with one common goal to assist a wonderful organization that has positively impacted so many lives."
Throughout the year, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group supports Metropolitan Ministries' Tampa and Pasco County campuses. In addition to other donation drives to gather food, household items, clothing and toys, the real estate firm's agents and staff assist by volunteering and providing in-kind gifts.
"We are proud that our sales executives and support staff embrace our culture of giving, and we appreciate everyone who has contributed to this initiative," said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group Broker/Owner Dewey Mitchell. "Our team is comprised of very caring individuals and they have opened their hearts to bring hope home to others in our community."
