Teen Take & Make: Bath Bombs

Tuesday, Feb. 21, 10am-5pm

This kit supplies you with all the materials to make a heart shaped bath bomb for Valentine's Day! Ages 12-18; registration required.

LEGO Free Play

Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2-4pm

It's school vacation week! During LEGO Free Play, we'll provide the LEGOS and you provide the imagination. Drop in any time between 2-4pm to interact with other kids and build something epic! No registration required. 

Writer’s Group

Tuesday, Feb. 21, 6:30-7:30pm

This is a group for aspiring writers, led by Susan Roney O'Brien, MFA.

Big Kids Event: Graphic Novels

Thursday, Feb. 23, 3-4pm

Do you love reading comic books, graphic novels, and manga? Do you want to create your own? Ages 8-10 are invited to meet local author Shawn Boyle as he explains how he writes his graphic novels. Shawn will have all participants create their own drawings to be used in his next book!    

Homework Help with Teen Mentor

Thursday, Feb. 23, 4:30pm-6:30pm

Students of all ages may come in the library to work on homework and receive extra guidance from an experienced teen mentor on assignments in any subject. Register online for one-on-one assistance, or just drop-in.   

Take & Make Craft Kits

Those toddling two and three-year olds will love this active and fun Story Time inside the library! Registration required; space is limited. If you prefer to join us online, you can sign up for the Zoom link upon registration. 

Story Time: Fabulous 4s & 5s

Join us for this hands-on Story Time program geared for you curious and tenacious four to five year olds. Children will participate in different activities that provide room to explore concepts presented in the stories through STEM activities. Afternoon Book Club Hybrid

Join us for a discussion of our monthly book club book. For March we will read West with the Night by Beryl Markham, join us either online or in person. Copies are available at the library or on Overdrive.

Drop-In Tech Help
Wednesday, Mar. 1, 3:00-6:00pm

Drop by the library for all of your basic technology needs! Our librarians will help you learn about using your computers, smart phones, tablets, or other devices. If you need assistance using library apps, searching the library databases, or creating any of your own accounts, we're here for you! Stop by any time between 3-6pm. For more advanced tech help, consider signing up for an appointment on our website so we can best serve your needs.

The Jellyfish: How to Pastel Paint
Thursday, Mar. 2, 6pm

Register for this online class with award-winning pastel artist Greg Maichek, open to beginners and experienced artists alike. Greg will guide participants through the steps to create their own pastel painting of a jellyfish, as they learn to implement aspects such as transparency, reflections, and phosphorescent glow. All supplies necessary will be provided for participants ahead of time, but must be picked up at the library. Ages 18 and up; registration required.
