September 18, 2023

Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance have awarded CRS Insurance Brokerage a 2023 Make More Happen Award for its volunteerism with Brent’s Place, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, long-term home filled with hope for families facing a life-threatening medical crisis. The award includes an initial donation of $5,000 for Brent’s Place, which can be doubled to $10,000 just by having community supporters vote online.

The CRS Insurance Brokerage and Brent’s Place community story is highlighted on the official Make More Happen microsite at www.agentgiving.com/CRS-Insurance-Brokerage, where supporters can vote to help the team reach their donation goal. If the featured story receives a mix of at least 500 votes and comments, the $5,000 donation will be raised to $10,000.

When families must leave their hometowns in search of a medical miracle, Brent’s Place is there to soften their landing. As families arrive with a unique set of challenges, the donation will allow staff to respond to a changing set of needs while ensuring they receive required accommodations and support without additional financial burden.

“Our agency has a long-standing relationship with Brent’s Place and believes that they fill a crucial need in the community and are proud to support their mission,” said Jeff Berven, Principal at CRS Insurance. “We are grateful to Liberty Mutual and Safeco for providing much-needed funds to continue their impactful work and thrilled at the opportunity to double the donation by engaging the community in the voting process.”

Advocating for Brent’s Place since 2014, the CRS team supports various philanthropic campaigns throughout the year. Efforts include creating Valentine’s Day craft kits for kids, fulfilling family gift lists, providing recurring monetary donations, and more to provide a sense of normalcy for patients and their families living at Brent’s Place.

“CRS Insurance Brokerage is a shining example of our independent agents’ endless dedication to their nonprofit partners through their volunteering, fundraising and overall awareness efforts,” said Brad Milley, Liberty Mutual Mountain Region Senior Territory Manager. “The Make More Happen Awards allow our agents to spread the word about their good deeds and we hope it inspires others in the Denver-area to get involved.”

Throughout 2023, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 37 independent agents nationwide for a Make More Happen Award donating up to $370,000 to the nonprofits they support. Agencies became eligible for the award by submitting an application and photos demonstrating their commitment to a specific nonprofit.

About Brent’s Place

Brent’s Place exists to be a safe, supportive, long-term home filled with hope for families facing a life-threatening medical crisis. As the only option for long-term, Safe-Clean housing in the Rocky Mountain West region that is tailored to support the entire family, Brent's Place offers a unique access point for lifesaving medical treatment.
