Spring is here and Summer is at its footsteps! We can feel the bursting energy all around us and are so pleased to safely offer new, diverse programming to our community. Be sure to sign up on the enclosed registration form for all programs.

Aging Life Care Management

Thursday, June 2 at 1 p.m. - Join Joan Garbow & Associates in a candid and informative conversation about what an “aging life care manager” does and how Ms. Garbow, LCSW can assist a “solo senior.” Those over the age of 50, who are alone without any aging advocacy in place, are “solo seniors” or “solo agers.” Learn about the challenges and hurdles faced in health care, estate planning and more.

Home Care and Occupational Therapy

Thursday, June 16 at 1:30 p.m. – Peter Crossett will introduce our members to Synergy HomeCare, discuss what is non-medical home care and its current environment. In partnership with Synergy, Stacey McIvor from Restore Mobile Therapy will discuss what Occupational Therapy is and how it differs from other disciplines. Learn how Occupational Therapists differ from other practitioners by addressing the whole client, enabling more personalized care and treatment to ensure you continue living an independent life.

Eating from the Farm

Thursday, June 23 at 1:00 p.m. – Our favorite nutritionist and dietician is back in the house! Join Judy Prager, RDN, from WellFedCT, as she introduces the bounty of the Farmer’s Market. Judy has a passion for good, clean, local food that will fill your plate and fill you with nutrition while supporting the local farmers.

Brain Games

Thursday, June 30 at 1:30 p.m. – We all know how important it is to keep sharp while we age. Let us help you while meeting new friends! Join Danielle Ramos, Bethel Health Care, as she facilitates fun word and trivia games using your long term and working memory.

Annual Membership Applications Due

We request that everyone complete an Annual Senior Center Membership Application by June 30 to update our records. Remember, this is not the same as your monthly program Registration form!
