Hop into Spring

The annual Spring Celebration is almost here and bringing back the fun and excitement of the spring season. Join us on April 1st from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sundance Park (22865 W. Lower Buckeye Rd.) for egg decorating, bounce houses, face painting and of course the epic Easter egg hunt!

Egg Hunt Schedule

Eggstra Special Hunt: 9:30 a.m. (for those with special needs)
Ages 2 & under: 10 a.m. - Noon
Ages 3 & 4: 9:30 a.m.
Ages 5 & 6: 10 a.m.
Ages 7 & 8: 10:30 a.m.
Ages 9 & 10: 11 a.m.
Ages 11 & up: 11:30 a.m.

Spring Break is here

It's almost mid-March and that means that Spring Break is right around the corner! The Recreation division has Spring Break options for all ages. 

-Youth ages 6-12 years old can attend Spring Break Adventures at the Sundance Recreation Center, featuring a half-day program March 15-17th. 

-Teens have programming available all week from field trips to an egg drop challenge. Find out more about Teen Spring Break programs here.

-Full-day activities are available for those Kindergarten through 8th graders with our Spring Break B.A.S.E. programs.

Let's Get Outside

The amazing Spring weather in Arizona is here and Skyline Park has programing options for all ages to enjoy the beautiful Sonoran desert. 

Some program options include the Kids Hike, a 1-mile hike for kids ages 7-13, including hiking activities and fun facts. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. 

Also join us for Cowboy Poetry featuring the writings of Mike Dunn about the American West over an open campfire.

Hiring for Summer Jobs

Spend your summer having fun and making a difference! The Buckeye Recreation department is hiring for multiple positions including Recreation Aides and Specialists for our Summer Rec program, lifeguards at the Buckeye Aquatics Center and Sports Aides and Specialists for our Summer Sports Programs. 

Positions have flexible hours, competitive pay and other benefits.
