Ruben once served bravely for our country, surrounded by his brothers and sisters in arms. Now, at 101 years old, he is homebound, living alone – his only company the fading memories of his fellow soldiers, friends and family.
That's why it's so important that, with your support, Meals on Wheels programs nationwide can deliver the companionship that staves off crippling loneliness among 400,000 senior veterans. The Meals on Wheels volunteer who knocks on the door may be the only person someone like Ruben will see all day.
But many more need your help.
This Veterans Day, make a gift in honor of the veteran in your life so that those who once fought for us will never be forgotten or left behind.
