Changes to Hometown Holiday Activities Announced

The weather outside this weekend is looking frightful, but O’Brien Park will still be delightful as the Town of Parker hosts the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24 as scheduled. This event will take place snow, cold or shine, and Santa is still flying in from the North Pole to join us!

However, due to anticipated weather conditions, Hometown Holiday Experience Kick-off festivities (appearances from Elsa/Olaf/Buddy the Elf and the winter market) previously scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 25 have been canceled. In hopes of better conditions, planned holiday character appearances are expected to be rescheduled for a later date this holiday season. Updates will be shared on the Town’s events webpage and Facebook page (@TownOfParkerCO) once finalized.

Buddy the Elf and his holiday friends will now make their seasonal debut in Downtown Parker from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26, the new start of Hometown Holiday Experience festivities. Activities are planned to continue Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 17.
