Transportation projects -- share your feedback!

The draft Active Transportation Plan will be released on Monday, October 3. The plan includes priority pedestrian improvements and an all-ages and abilities bicycle network, and will inform bicycle and pedestrian planning for years to come. Mark your calendars for the following engagement events:

Oct 5 Virtual Workshop

Oct 16 In-Person Open House

The City is is also seeking feedback on draft concepts for the following projects:

Clement Avenue Extension/Tilden Way uses the abandoned railroad right-of-way to extend the Cross Alameda Trail between Broadway and the Miller-Sweeney (Fruitvale) Bridge and includes improvements to the Tilden/Blanding/Fernside intersection (meetings October 11 & 13).

Lincoln Avenue/Marshall Way/Pacific Avenue between Alameda Point at Main Street/Central Avenue and Broadway is a high priority for safety and mobility improvements (meetings Oct 25 & 27)

City Hall West landscaping -- take a survey!

Now that City Hall's lawn has been replaced with drought tolerant landscape using Bay Friendly standards, it’s time for City Hall West to do the same. Please review the draft concept, plant palette, and take a survey. Construction is anticipated to begin in December and be complete in the spring of 2023.
