Government and Politics

December 19, 2022

From: City Of Azle

CWD Holiday Collection Schedule
Trash and recycling services will be running as scheduled the weeks following Christmas and New Year’s Day. Please note - CWD Customer Service will be closed on the national holidays of Monday, December 26, and Monday, January 2.

Christmas Tree Recycling
Christmas Trees will be collected on your second collection day or your Wednesday brush day. Residents may also drop off their trees to be recycled December 28, 2022 - January 13, 2023 at Azle City Hall, 505 W. Main Street. A roll off container will be located on the very last row of the parking lot for residents to use any time. In order for trees to be recyclable, they must be free of decorations, bags and plastic.

Recycle Your Non-working Holiday Lights
After the Christmas season is over, many people toss non-working Christmas lights in the garbage. Christmas lights, like most electronics, are not bio-degradable and will not decompose into the earth’s soil. If you want to keep your lights from going to a landfill and do your part to look after the earth, recycling your lights is a great way to do it.  However, DO NOT put them in the recycle bin as they tangle up recycling machinery.  The City of Azle will provide a drop off location at City Hall, 505 W. Main Street.  A roll off container will be located on the very last row of the parking lot for residents to use at any time from December 28, 2022 - January 13, 2023.
