September is Adult Activity Center Month
September is Adult Activity Center Month...and in recognition of the occasion, Mayor Alan Brundrett presented Azle Adult Activity Center Director Jackie Joy with a proclamation recognizing the Sr Center Month Sept 2022importance of the Center in the lives of Azle's older citizens. Mayor Brundrett and the City Council praised the outstanding efforts of the Azle Adult Activity Center and Meals on Wheels staff and volunteers who work every day to change the perception of aging and create important community resources for older adults.

The week of September 12 - 16, the Center will have special events to celebrate this special month. (See the calendar for a list of the events.)

Azle Adult Activity Center partners with Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County to operate the Center which is located in the B.J. Clark Building, 601 SE Parkway. They provide a variety of activities for seniors 60 years young and over. A nutritious hot breakfast and lunch is served daily (please call 817-444-0070 for information about reservations). Activities at the center include arts and crafts, cards and games, exercise, computer class, entertainment by various bands, informational seminars and more - all offered free of charge!
