The City recently made improvements to the basketball court at Central Park and the tennis courts at Shady Grove Park.  

The Shady Grove courts now have a new look. The courts are now a combination tennis/pickleball courts. The improvements include both courts being resurfaced, new lines, and nets. Pickleball is for two or four players using solid paddles that hit a perforated polymer ball over a net. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, racquetball, table tennis and badminton.

The City of Azle Parks Department has officially re-opened the newly resurfaced basketball court at Central Park. The improvements include the court being resurfaced and striped. LED lights were added the past summer. The City plans to add solar lights along the circle walking path at Central Park in the near future.
