Sweetheart Dance 

Join us on Friday, February 10th as we host our annual Sweetheart Dance for youth ages 5-12 and their adult guardian. This semi-formal night of fun includes a live DJ, dancing, a photo booth, crafts, refreshments, and a real-life princess!

Fun for All Ages

Camp SOAR Registration Now Open!

Eight weeklong camp sessions will run back-to-back starting June 19, 2023. Campers grades K-5th will experience outdoor games, crafts, field trips, water play, and silly songs while making new friends in Twin Pines Park. We are also pleased to expand our Inclusion Camp to five weeks for summer 2023. Register here

Diabetes Awareness Seminar

Join us Tuesday, January 10th at 10:30am at the Senior and Community Center to learn about the ways diabetes/pre-diabetes impacts your health. Presented by Janel Jurosky, Community Health Nurse & Educator for Sequoia Hospital. Please rsvp at 650-595-7444.

Belmont Talks: How Congress Works

Join presenter Eric Saund, Ph.D, 2020-2021 Congressional Fellow, on Thursday, January 12th at 6:30pm as he shares the inside and outs of how Congress really operates, what happens when you call your representative, and much more. Open to all agesRegister here.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Poetry and Essay Contest

This January, celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in our poetry and essay contest. This contest is open to all youth grades 3rd - 12th who attend school in Belmont and Redwood Shores. Students may submit either a poem or essay based on one of Dr. King's inspirational quotes, reflecting through personal experience and their role in building a stronger community to creatively answer "where does change begin?"

Submissions are due by 5:00pm on February 1, 2023. Please go to the contest page for more information.

Lunar New Year 2023

You are invited to Belmont's Lunar New Year event! Please join Mayor Mates, City Council, a lion dance troupe, and our community partners in celebration of the year of the rabbit. This event will take place at the City Hall entrance, 1 Twin Pines Lane, on Friday, February 3rd at 3:00pm. We hope to see you there. 

Senior Center Extended Hours and Activities

With the new year upon us, we are ready to expand the offerings at the Senior and Community Center.  Join us for new games, crafts, movies, and language groups, along with old favorites including lunch and movement/exercise programs.  Check out the Twin Pines Newsletter for all the details. Starting today, the Twin Pines Senior and Community Center is now open 9am-1pm on Mondays and Fridays, and 9am-3pm Tuesday through Thursday.  We hope you will join us!
