World Health Organization Declares Belmont Age-Friendly
On Thursday, we shared the great news that the World Health Organization (WHO) recognized our City as an Age-Friendly City. This is all thanks to a hard-working task force of community members, councilmembers, City, and Library staff working side by side with the County of San Mateo and the Center for Age-Friendly Excellence.

Pop-Up Petting Zoo Delivers the Farm
Preschoolers Get Unique Experience

On Thursday, Little Explorers Petting Zoo visited Belmont for an on-site petting zoo experience. Students got to meet and gently pet farm animals and reptiles including goats, sheep, a llama, rabbits, pigs, ducks, and a turtle.

The mobile petting zoo provided a hands-on experience just for the preschool children. Thank you to our Parent-Teacher Organization for sponsoring this fun and educational activity.
