Dog Days of Buckeye Is Back

The eighth annual Dog Days of Buckeye returns to Sundance Park this Saturday, November 12 from 9 a.m. to Noon. This free, family friendly, four-legged event is like bringing your dog to a canine amusement park.

You and your pup can participate in a variety of dog activities, contests, view demonstrations and participate in photo opportunities around the event!

Join Us in Skyline Regional Park
for Our Veteran's Day Hike

You can show your support on Veterans Day with a hike to the top of Skyline Regional Park. The ceremonial hike is on Friday, November 11 at 9 a.m. where you’ll post an American Flag atop Skyline’s highest peak, the Valley Vista Summit. This is a difficult trail so plan accordingly with proper footwear, water and sun protection.

All Buckeye administrative offices, libraries and recreation centers are closed on Friday in observance of Veterans Day. Trash and recycling services will not change for the holiday.

Buckeye Police Awarded Traffic Enforcement Grants

The Buckeye Police Department has been awarded more than $87,000 in grants from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for enhanced traffic enforcement.

-The first grant provides $40,000 to cover overtime and other employee-related costs to boost officer presence

-The second grant totaling $35,000 will cover the purchase of equipment to help keep our roads safer

-The third grant for $12,500 will pay for special equipment to streamline accident investigations

West Valley Flexible Transit Study

The West Valley Flexible Transit Study is exploring the potential for flexible transit service around the West Valley. Flexible transit options, much like Uber and Lyft, would provide on-demand service hailed by phone or app.
