Want to participate in the 2022 General and Municipal Election? Have you moved recently or changed your legal name? Then it's time to check on and/or register to vote in Santa Cruz County. You can check your voter history and more online at Santa Cruz County Elections Department website.

California offers online voter registration. You can also complete a Voter Registration Card in person at the Santa Cruz County Elections Office, and many other locations in the County such as U.S. Post Offices and public library branches.

The deadline to register by mail is October 24 (postmarked by); the deadline for online registration is October 28. Visit VotesCount.us for more information.

Beach Festival
This Weekend!
Saturday & Sunday, September 24 and 25

This new Capitola tradition will include events from past years like the sand sculpture contest, fishing derby, horseshoe tournament, children's art, and chalk art. This year, the traditional lighted boats will be decorated, built, and displayed on Capitola Beach in front of the seawall along the Esplanade! The Capitola City Council is composed of five council members all of whom are directly elected by YOU, registered voters of the City of Capitola. Each council member serves fouryear terms and Council elects a mayor and vice-mayor annually.

There are three Council seats up for election this November, and there are five qualified candidates that are going to ballot. As a Capitola registered voter, you may vote for three of the following candidates:

Yvette Lopez Brooks (incumbent)
